Accessible Production Environments – Access All Areas

Accessible Production Environments

We run training in how to create an accessible environment on-set. This is often useful early in a production, when the team are assessing what changes are needed before casting or filming.

Training can be in-person or on Zoom, always co-led by a learning disabled or autistic trainer.

The sessions give an overview of learning disability and autism, and details steps you can take to make your productions more inclusive. They include:

  • Approaching conversations on access
  • Building individual support plans
  • Introduction to accessible communication
  • Accessible scheduling
  • Sensory adaptations to physical spaces
  • Quiet spaces
  • The role of 1:1 Creative Support for talent
  • The importance of familiarisation sessions
  • Scenario planning
