We run training in how to create an accessible environment on-set. This is often useful early in a production, when the team are assessing what changes are needed before casting or filming.
Training can be in-person or on Zoom, always co-led by a learning disabled or autistic trainer.
The sessions give an overview of learning disability and autism, and details steps you can take to make your productions more inclusive. They include:
- Approaching conversations on access
- Building individual support plans
- Introduction to accessible communication
- Accessible scheduling
- Sensory adaptations to physical spaces
- Quiet spaces
- The role of 1:1 Creative Support for talent
- The importance of familiarisation sessions
- Scenario planning
