Emma is an Associate Artist and Associate Director of Access All Areas. Since graduating from Access All Areas’ Performance Making Diploma at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2016, Emma has devised and performed two solo shows.

#Binariesbegone – performed in 2019 as part of the Battersea Arts Centre Occupy festival, as part of the GLYPT pride festival and the Autism Arts festival at the University of Kent. They have continued to develop this show and held workshops on the theme of binaries since.

My Hands and Feet are Wiggling – commissioned as part of Steakhouse Live at Rich Mix in 2016 and has since been performed in Norway and at the Aespia festival.

Emma is a performer in ‘punk, crip, cabaret’ group Not Your Circus Dog. Their production of Not F**kin’ Sorry has toured sell-out runs around the UK, including performances at Soho Theatre, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Duckie, WOW Festival, and the Royal Court Theatre. After a sell-out second run on Soho Theatre’s mainstage in 2019, the company were described as “some of the bravest, boldest, most candid and risk-taking on the contemporary London theatre scene” (Disability Arts Online). The show was a finalist for Best Cabaret in the ‘Offie Awards’, 2022. Emma also performed in their promenade performance of “The Molly House” at Duckie (2021).

In 2021, Emma made their directorial debut in The Interrogation, an app-based immersive show which went on to tour nationally.

They are currently working with Access All Areas as an Associate Director and run regular masterclasses. They co-directed NHS England’s Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training films, and teach on the Performance Making Diploma.
