Charlene is an Associate Artist of Access All Areas, as well as sitting as the charity’s co-chairperson of the board. In 2023 she performed in Imposter 22 at The Royal Court Theatre. She also performed and co-created unReal City at Battersea Arts Centre (2020) and Brighton Dome (2022), in collaboration with dreamthinkspeak. In 2021 Charlene co-wrote, devised and performed in the digital app based show The Interrogation.

She appeared in the giant outdoor theatre event ZARA with Mind the Gap Theatre in the summer of 2019. Her TV credits include Casualty and Doctors for the BBC.

Charlene has co-led work to make Access All Areas governance processes more accessible. She also sits on the advisory board at Battersea Arts Centre. She has since spoken on multiple governance panels championing accessible board practice.

In 2020 she was appointed to join the #FreelanceTaskForce where she joined other freelancers to strengthen the influence of freelancers in deciding the future of theatre through the COVID pandemic.

Charlene graduated from Access All Areas’ 2014 Performance Making Diploma at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
