Adam Smith
Adam is an an Associate Artist of Access All Areas. He is a musician, composer, actor, cabaret artist and facilitator. He graduated from Goldsmiths College with a BMus in Music (2013) and MMus in Composition (2015). In 2018 he graduated from Access All Areas Performance Making Diploma at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
He is a founding member of ‘crip-punk cabaret’ collective Not Your Circus Dog.
As part of Not Your Circus Dog Adam has performed in Duckie Presents – Princess: The Promenade Performance (2021), Not F*kin’ Sorry at Soho Theatre (2019), for which he also composed some of the music. He will embark on a national tour of Everyone With Me Always by Deptford Freestylers in 2021-2022.
In 2018 he was a voiceover artist for Access All Areas’ production MADHOUSE re:exit. In 2017 he played the lead role in Pullen’s Party, produced by Vital Xposure in collaboration with Access All Areas.
Other professional performance includes productions by Facefront, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Vital Exposure, Blue Sky Actors and Mind the Gap.
Adam has been part of many community projects and groups such as Blue Sky Actors, Tramshed and Dramatic Voices.
As part of Transforming Leadership, Adam is the trainee Co-Director of Take Part and has run dozens of workshops online and in person including during Covid-19 lockdowns, for Access All Areas. He has also worked as a facilitator for Hackney Shed, Harringay Shed, Face Front and Tramshed.
