
Gemma Williams
As Access All Areas Programme Manager, Gemma oversees the smooth running of AAA’s multi-strand programme of work including finance, operations, monitoring and reporting.
Gemma was previously General Manager at participatory theatre company Spare Tyre.
Gemma founded Red Threaders Dramaturgy consultancy in 2011 and worked as a freelance Dramaturg for Smoking Apples theatre company, particularly their Peter Brook Award nominated show CELL, which charts a puppets journey through Motor Neurone Disease. She was an original practitioner on the major AHRC funded project Imagining Autism at the University of Kent, interacting with autistic children in multi-sensory environments to improve their wellbeing.
Gemma co-founded The Galloping Cuckoos theatre company which formed during her BA in Performing Arts at The University of Winchester. The company toured outdoor events and festivals between 2009-2016 with their unique brand of interactive street theatre involving audience interaction and live singing with performances ‘HUG’e Nest and Driftwood.
Gemma has an MA in Dramaturgy and Creative Producing from University of Kent.
