About the production
Hoxton Street.
Our home.
We are part of the history of this street, but who else’s history is here?
We worked with local artist Dustin O’Hara to co-create a performative guided walk down Hoxton Street. Together we studied the rich history of the area, looking at its social and cultural make up, and brought people with learning disabilities to the front.
Did you know, the Gunpowder Plot was uncovered on Hoxton Street?
You Me Hoxton Too asked the audience to look again at a street they might or might not know to see the stories, often hidden in plain sight. What is obvious to one person, that might not be seen by another?
The walk ended at PEER gallery where an exhibition shared the story of our creative process.
You can read more about how Dustin met Access All Areas here and see the project on his website here.
